Dr. Shenell Tolson is a cell and molecular biologist, STEM educator, and public health expert with a passion for science communication and community health empowerment. She holds a BS in Biology and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, & Bioinformatics (MB3) from Towson University, an MS in Science Education (Molecular Biology) from Morgan State University, and a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) in Epidemiology and Global Health from Morgan State University.
As the science-policy advisor for The B-SCI and member of the Advisory Board for STEMNoire, Dr. Tolson is dedicated to advancing STEM education, public health literacy, and global health equity.

Dr. Tolson is committed to using her scientific expertise to empower colonized communities within the African diaspora by promoting self-sustainable health infrastructure. Her work focuses on:
